Eimeria cystis-felleae var. americana, n. var. in Southern California Lizards

Abstract

The var. was obtained from the gallbladders of Xantusia r. riversiana, from San Nicholas I., and Uta stansburiana, from the Mojave Desert. The intracellular stages are similar to those of E. cystis-felleae in the Western European snake, Tropidonotus natrix, but the sporozoites show some differences.
