Abstract
We measured free exciton splitting and Faraday rotation of the diluted magnetic semiconductor Se (x<0.005) and found valence band splitting which is reversed relative to the materials with Mn, Co, or Fe. This fact indicates a ferromagnetic p-d exchange, observed for the first time in II-VI diluted magnetic semiconductors.
