Abstract
The angular dependence of the planar magnetorosistive effect in Permalloy films has been used to produce a frequency doubler with low distortion and synchronized output while its low field dependence has been utilized to produce an analogue square-law function. A scheme whereby the shape of the sensor is altered to improve its performance in the latter application is also outlined. Operation of these resistors at high frequency is possible duo to the low magnetic fields required to drive these devices. Keywords
