Abstract
The GPLAN system, an operational decision support system, is presented with a discussion of both the design and implementation details. The system allows a decision maker to ask ad hoc questions in a nonprocedural English-like query language. The questions can include both data fetching as well as data analysis, using generalized models stored within the system. The kinds of data analysis performed by the system are limited only by the set of models contained in the library. Keywords
