Abstract

In only 1 patient of 50 (Hodgkin''s disease, with typical Reed-Sternberg cells) was the final diagnosis based on the marrow findings alone; in the majority of the remaining 49 patients, the finding of a granulomatous lesion was a definite aid since it led to further investigation in establishing a diagnosis.
