Abstract
It was found that the mouth parts of the mite were sufficiently long to extend a relatively long distance through the tracheae and injure the surrounding muscle and nerve tissues. It would appear that paralysis could occur in the bee as a result of injury to these tissues, inflicted by the mite while feeding. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
