Abstract
N-alkylation with acyclic side chains of pyrimidine and purine heterocycles occurs regioselectively at N-1 and N-9 respectively under solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis by 18-crown-6 or tetraglyme in the presence of potassium tert-butoxide at 0°C.Keywords
