Abstract
Values for the particle alignment factor have been obtained, during the past few years, by several workers.1, 2, 3, 4 The various techniques which have been used include magnetic, x-ray, and optical experiments. However, particle alignment factors are not now routinely obtained during the processing of permanent magnets. There is a requirement for ’’real time’’ feedback for production purposes, and there is also a requirement for a magnetic probe of structure for a basic understanding of these sintered permanent magnets. For these reasons we have decided to consider various magnetic determinations of the particle alignment for SmCo5 permanent magnets. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
