Abstract
Measurements of the Zeeman effects of about 125 lines in the spectrum of XeI have been made. The sum rule is violated by both of the completely known configurations, and in some cases may be accounted for by configuration interaction. For other configurations, where only the lower levels are known, the of the core is shown to be a "good" quantum number.
