Abstract
Summary The biochemistry of vaccinia virus replication in two permissive (BSC-40, L-929), and two non-permissive (CHO, MDBK) cell lines has been compared. While CHO and MDBK cells differentially allowed expression of the various stages in the vaccinia developmental programme, neither cell supported production of any infectious progeny virions. Keywords
