Abstract
Dithizone reacts with an excess of mercuric chloride to form mercuric chloride dithizonate, not primary mercuric dithizonate. The reactions of mercuric chloride dithizonate are studied and its solubility, extinction coefficient, partition coefficient, and stability constant are measured. Keywords
