Abstract
Using ascending type chromatography with Whatman No. 3 mm. paper cut into special tapered form and 2 solvent systems, collidine-water and butanol-dioxane-ammonia, it was possible to separate Na salts of thyroxin, 3:5:3[image] -L-triiodothyronine, diiodothyronine, tyrosine and diiodotyrosine. Physiological quantities of radioactive thyroxin and triiodo-thyronine were added to serum, extracted with butanol and separated by this method. Keywords
