Abstract
A lattice gas on an M×∞ square lattice with nearest‐neighbor exclusion is studied in a ``grand pressure ensemble.'' It is shown how to calculate the distribution of the zeros of the grand partition function. Explicit results for MR≃0.1190 for the radius of convergence of the fugacity series. This value agrees well with Gaunt and Fisher's estimate which they obtained by analyzing the first 13 terms of the fugacity series. Keywords
