PLASTIC REPAIR FOR POSTOPERATIVE ANAL INCONTINENCE

Abstract
A case of postoperative anal incontinence is reported in which a cure resulted from the procedure detailed. The transverse perinei superficialis, with its deep layer of the superficial fascia, functioned successfully as a voluntary sphincter. Anatomically it proved convenient for this type of repair. It is necessarily limited in its field of usefulness.
