Abstract
The effect of various glycine concentrations in nutrient broth and in a hypertonic nutrient medium against E. coli at various temperatures has been examined. Optimum spheroplast formation was found to occur in bacteria which were in the logarithmic growth phase. Glycine has no action on the viability of non-growing bacteria. Keywords
