Abstract
The geologic setting of the late Jurassic Trinity pluton and its structural relationship with country rock are discussed. Some detailed mineralogy and petrology, especially textures and structures in the ultramafic rocks, are presented, on the basis of which it is concluded that emplmplacement involved flowage and recrystallization of essentially crystalline material at temperatures ranging from 700 degrees C in the interior to less than 500 degrees C at contacts.--H.C.W.S
