Abstract
This is an accepted community health problem. Epidemiological clues may be extracted from the following alcoholic beverage consumption data, drunk arrests, traffic accidents, crime, mental hospital commitments for alcoholism, unemployment-disability compensation claims and morbidity and mortality studies. These measurements must be utilized as chronological indicators of the development of problem drinking. Case reports are mentioned. A table is included. Keywords
