Abstract
Under experimental conditions of freezing and high-contrast film processing, it is possible to visualize on an X-ray film many cartilaginous and soft-tissue structures within an unossified infant joint. In unfrozen clinical cases, it is possible to visualize, with high-contrast processing, some intra-articular structures. In these experiments, efforts were made to prove that the roentgenologic shadow was the same as the anatomical structure. Relevant literature was reviewed.
