Nuclear Resonance of Solids Doped with Paramagnetic Impurities

Abstract
This paper is an extension of the work of Rorschach on the interactions of dipolar nuclei with paramagnetic impurities in dielectric crystals. The influence of the average "static" moment on the nuclear resonance line-width is considered. It is suggested that by measuring T1 and the nuclear resonance linewidth as a function of temperature, magnetic field intensity, and sample orientation it is possible to determine the autocorrelation time of paramagnetic ions as a function of these parameters.
