Abstract
Complexes having ligand to metal ratios of 1:1, 3:2, 2:1, and 3:1 have been isolated from the reactions of copper(II) halides (or Cul) and triphenyl-arsine or -stibine. The ligands are very labile in solution, and are completely displaced by an excess of bidentate ligand. Under controlled conditions both mono- and bi-dentate ligands yield CuX(MPh3)L derivatives.
