Cardiovascular System and Muscle

Abstract
The fine vasculature of the body, which is intimately incorporated into tissues and organs, has been considered generally in an earlier chapter on general radiation histopathology, and more specifically in the various chapters dealing with specific organs. The purpose in the present chapter is to consider the heart and the major blood vessels as organs, many of which contain fine vasculature (vasa vasorum), and also to consider muscle at the same time.
