CRYOTHERAPY OF TRICHIASIS WITH USE OF RETINAL CRYOPROBE

Abstract

A new method for the treatment of trichiasis [human] was presented. A retinal cryoprobe was used in a freeze-thaw-freeze (double freeze) of the lid. The method was highly successful with no major complications occurring thus far when used on nonpalsied lids.
