Adaptive filters to improve loudspeaker telephone

Abstract

A loudspeaking telephone is under development which uses two adaptive filters to cancel acoustic and electric coupling in an open-loop or shallow voice-switched system. Measurements indicate that between 15 and 30 dB of echo cancellation is available for a range of conditions.
