Abstract
Animal experiments were performed to investigate the histologic changes of venous thrombus (produced by sodium morrhuate) brought about by trypsin and streptokinase. Their effects, i.e., lysis of thrombus, promotion of its recanalization and inhibition of organization were greater when administered at the earlier stage of thrombosis. Streptokinase was superior to trypsin in the aspect of these effects. Keywords
