Abstract
The determination of antimony with rhodamine S has been studied, and a simple method developed for the determination of 0·2 to 10-µg amounts of antimony. The complex is stable for at least 24 hours. The effects of twenty-seven other ions were examined and none interfered, except lead when present in milligram amounts. The application of the method to the determination of p.p.m. amounts of antimony in titanium dioxide is also described.
