Phytophthora root disease of alder in Britain

Abstract
A root disease of common alder caused by Phytophthora sp. is widespread in southern Britain. It is estimated that more than 20 000 trees are seriously affected.Une infection racinaire due àPhytophthora sp. est largement disséminée dans le sud de la Grande‐Bretagne.
