Abstract
Several penicillin-producing mold cultures were tested in 80-gal. tanks. Culture No. X-1612 which is an x-ray mutant from Penicillium chrysogenum No. 1951-B25 of the Northern Regional Research Lab. was the only one to give a yield greatly in excess of that obtained with No. 1951-B25. The yield was greatly influenced by nutrition, aeration and agitation. The yield was a function of the corn steep liquor level used in the presence of excess lactose. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
