Abstract
As a contribution to the understanding of measurement methods, a system approach to electric measurement is described. The essential idea of the described approach is a uniform treatment of measurement problems and/or instrumentation as a special case of a system, the function of which is performed by signal processing. The correspondence between theory of measurement and a given measurement problem implementation, as well as the analogies and the differences between the various measurements, seems to become more evident in this way. Some examples of this are discussed in this paper.
