Abstract
The capabilities of the JY‐38P inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer, using a computer controlled monochromator, have been investigated for the analysis of traces Al, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn in surface water. Detection limits and lowest quantitatively determinable (LQD) concentrations after optimization for highest signal‐to‐background ratio and lowest matrix effect are given. The accuracy of the ICP‐technique was tested with excellent results, by a comparison with AAS data. Concentration data of unfiltered surface water samples taken in the Scheldt‐ and Meuse‐basin in Limburg (Belgium) are reported. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
