Abstract
Phase transitions into the ferro-magnetic and antiferromagnetic states for the stoichiometric FeRh alloy are discussed taking into account the self-consistent band structure calculations for the paramagnetic phase. A Peierls-type instability is one reason for the antiferromagnetic transition. Keywords
