Abstract
A dog brought to a minimum N excretion was subcutaneously injected with 7 gm. of the HBr salt of creatinol, N-methyl-N-([beta]-hydroxyethyl)-guanidine. An increased urinary N that would account for nearly all the N of this salt, and very little rise in the creatinine and bases precipitable with phosphotungstic acid was obtained. Little creatinol was excreted unchanged.
