Abstract
A search for a new superconducting material was made in the Bi-Pb-Sr-Y-Ca-Cu oxide system. A single phase of BiPbSr2YCu2O y was prepared, but it was a semiconducting material showing no superstructure in the powder X-ray diffraction patter. Phase stability, lattice constants and properties of electrical resistivity were studied for specimens in the examined system. Keywords
