Abstract
Paper electrophoresis analysis showed no new serum components in infected animals. Significant increases in the gamma globulin fraction were observed 3-4 months after infection. The rise in gamma globulin coincided with the highest agglutinin titers in sera of infected animals. Changes in the concentration of the alpha-1 and alpha-2 globulins occurred within the 4-5 month infection period. The beta globulin exhibited very little variation throughout the 12 month experimental period. Decreases in albumin concentration followed gamma globulin increases. Keywords
