Abstract
Studies have been made of the nonlinear current-voltage curves of microscopic silver and gold contacts at low temperatures (1.5°K). The electron-phonon interaction function g(ω) = a2(ω)F(ω) has been reconstructed from the second derivative with respect to voltage of the current-voltage curves. A significant difference has been found between g(ω) and the phonon density of states F(ω).Keywords
