Abstract
The children's mortality in Italy from malignant tumors was 1039 deaths in 1970. They are 1.04% of all deaths from tumors and represent a ratio of 19/100,000. Incidence was established on the basis of 631 tumors reported in ages 0-14, a ratio of 15.01/100,000. The rates are 18.27 for 0-4 years, 16.65 for 5-9 years, and 13.74 for 10-14 years. The age distribution shows an increasing trend with age for mesenchymal tumors, epithelial tumors, and lymphomas. A decreasing trend was found for leukemias, central nervous system tumors, and embryogenic tumors. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
