Abstract
Predators and parasites of adult scorpionflies observed over a 5-yr period are discussed. Web-building spiders are the most important predators of scorpionflies, accounting for 65% of the panorpid and 81.7% of the bittacid observed mortality. Male mortality from spider predation is significantly greater than female mortality because of male sexual behavior associated with obtaining nuptial food for females. Five species of robberflies, one species of bittacid, and a damselfly also feed on scorpionflies. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
