Abstract
Time series consisting of wet and dry days have been studied regarding persistency properties. The conditional probabilities calculated show that the time series approximately behave like simple Markov chains. Using the Markov model some probabilities regarding precipitation have been computed and the results are compared with empirical probabilities. DOI: 10.1111/j.2153-3490.1965.tb00211.xKeywords
