Abstract
The publishers of 11 popular interest inventories were surveyed for steps taken or planned to eliminate sex bias from their instruments. A number of changes have been made and research has been undertaken to determine the best way to handle the still unresolved technical problems. It is concluded that a concern first formulated at the level of popular opinion has been translated into professional action, public policy, and actual observable change. Keywords
