Abstract
Studies of the emergence pattern of first generation of the boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis) during 1960 and 1961 in an isolated plot of cotton showed that peak numbers of the F1 generation emerged about 30 days after the first squares attained one-third growth. During 1960 and 1961, the rate of population increase of the F1 generation over the overwintered blood was five- and twofold, respectively. The populations of overwintered weevils infesting the plots seemed to be unrealistically large. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
