Abstract
A simple method for recrystallizing calalase was presented. Some of the cow liver catalase crystals present in the mixture had exactly the same shape as those of beef erythrocyte catalase. This pointed to a multi-molecular nature of cow liver catalase. Since it was difficult to remove all of the blood present in liver, it was quite possible that the descr. prisms originated from erythrocytes and that the higher active component descr. by other investigators might have had a similar origin. Keywords
