Fragmentation ofL=0transfer strength in thePt195(t, p)Pt197reaction

The ${}_{}{}^{195}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pt}(t, p){}_{}{}^{197}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pt}$ reaction has been measured with a 17 MeV triton beam. Excitation energies and angular distributions of states below 2.2 MeV have been obtained. Three sizable $L=0\mathrm{}$ transitions were observed to states below 1 MeV, in contrast to earlier $\mathrm{Pt}(t, p)$ and ($p, t$) reaction measurements where essentially all of the $L=0\mathrm{}$ strength was in the ground-state transition.
