Abstract
In a community dependent on an average civilized diet, the high prevalence of dental caries cannot be controlled by reparative techniques alone. Caries prevention programs must be run in addition to restorative procedures if the disease is to be controlled. Many measures can be taken in connection with operative and restorative procedures in order to minimize the incidence of recurrent and new caries. Summarized briefly are the advances in this field during the last 25 yr.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
