Abstract
In contradiction of the findings of Armstrong and Armstrong, in the heating of emulsin for several hours at 45[degree] at pH 4.4, 5.0, or 8.0, the destruction of beta-glucosidatic power and of beta-galactosidatic power run parallel courses. The assumption of separate enzymes is not necessary. The ability to attack phenol-[alpha]-d-mannoside, however, is not affected by such heating. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
