Abstract
Microprogramming support for the enhancement of operating system design is described briefly, organization structure of real-time operating systems are examined, and criteria proposed for determining which functions are best candidates for implementation in firmware. A suitable microprogrammed computer is selected and avenues for additional research are recommended. Keywords
