Abstract
CASE-history data are presented on 12 women who have carried in their skeletons for many years toxicologically interesting burdens of the radioisotopes Ra226 (radium, or Ra) and Ra228 (mesothorium, or MsTh). This is one of a series of reports from these laboratories on a continuing study of Ra and MsTh toxicity to human beings. The most recent previous publication of data obtained in this project, aside from annual progress reports, appeared in 1952.1 The effects of long continued skeletal irradiation in human beings have thus far been observed in significant detail only in persons occupationally or medically exposed to Ra . . .Keywords
