Abstract
A method of drill biopsy of the left ventricular myocardium has been utilized during operation. The method proved excellent in obtaining adequate specimens of the full thickness of the left myocardium, especially for also obtaining the endocardium, and thereby proving the eventual presence of fibroelastosis. The method was used to evaluate the left ventricular myocardium and compare changes with preoperative function and postoperative survival rates. Acute changes during perfusion have been evaluated. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
