Abstract
The electronic spectrum of TiN has been observed in absorption for the first time and has been photographed at high dispersion. From the rotational analysis of a number of bands, new constants have been determined for the X 2Σ, A 2Π and B 2Σ states. The vibrational frequency of the ground state determined from the new measurements disagrees with a previously published value. Keywords
