Abstract
Quality of life measures have become increasingly popular as outcome measures despite the lack of consensus on a definition of quality of life. This review describes the most frequently used measures, and discusses the conceptual and measurement issues surrounding quality of life measurement. Finally, it tries to place quality of life in the World Health Organization's model of disease impact. Keywords
