Coexisting Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

Abstract
This case report describes a patient initially presenting with Crohn''s disease of the ileum who subsequently developed ulcerative proctocolitis. Reports of patients with both inflammatory bowel diseases confirmed by histopathologic examination are rare.
