Abstract

Somatostatin and LHRH [luteinizing hormone releasing hormone] were detected by radioimmunoassay in the synaptosome fraction obtained by homogenization and differential centrifugation of the rat median eminence. Both somatostatin and LHRH were demonstrated by EM immunocytochemistry in secretory granules within synaptosomes.
